And a charcuterie board is a classic dish in France, it’s just some thin slices of different hams and different cheeses, and you eat them while drinking wine right before dinner. As an American we use “smorgasbord” all the time but it’s more about describing the quantity and selection of food rather than a specific kind of food. So when people say there was a smorgasbord of food they mean there was a ton of food and lots of various types of food to eat. A charcuterie board is pretty specific in that it has little meats and cheeses that you can snack on. Ken loses his American card for this one cuz we’re about the same age and he definitely has heard of this word 😂
