I feel like this has nothing to do with dating anymore. It's just a lived-out fantasy of anxiety - specifically the notion that people would rather reject someone before that someone rejects them. All the video that Pewds and Ken react to proves is that people are generally afraid of getting to know new people. Who said they had to hit it off after the date? They could've just have a nice day as acquaintances and leave it at that, all paid for.
It's clear half the people in this video just want to be single and sleep with someone they find attractive. Based off of how they reject people. They aren't ready to enter a long term relationship. May as well be single and not waste other people's time and emotions.
the notion that people would rather reject someone before that someone rejects them is not exactly isolated in this case. there is a a big incentive to reject the person in front of you so you don't lose your turn if you sense even a hint of them wanting to reject you, so you can talk to other people. In this situation quite a few of the guys were perfectly willing to talk after the button turned red until they saw how the first woman eliminated 3 people back to back before they even had a chance to talk so they had to take her out. and it was clear as day that anyone could react fast enough to at least attempt to press the button first which they didn't at first. so I really don't think this applies to everyone.
