    • So hilariously true. Although, EQ is actually VERY important for understanding others and social interaction. IQ and EQ are actually both quite important. Low EQ means you are unable to pick up on social queues, probably have difficulty detecting sarcasm and poor understanding of the emotions of other people. When researching human behavior and even behavioral patterns of other species, EQ is very useful. For example, Jane Goodall was so successful because she had to have a high IQ AND EQ for her research understanding the social signals with chimps. This girl seems to not be that smart with it though.....

On another note, I am also baffled that Kaylee was ranked so low, software developers know their shit, no matter the education or gender, they have to be very logic which is a big part of IQ tests

    • @Skr4t 666 Well, if they were told that this is about "intelligence", then EQ is sort of an intelligence.. emotional intelligence. But EQ is more about emotional control, emotional awareness. So it is a resource really. The IQ part is what will actually make you seem like your "EQ" is high. Because IQ is the enablerer for that as you probably will not say something rude to someone who is really down. Btw she is like 112, in most countries, the average is around 104 - 107. She might have high EQ, but because she is "dumb", she cannot properly utilize that and she creates this perception we all got.

    • you have a better chance to get a guaranteed job when you enlist in the miltary with a higher score. I had a 97 in the mechanical portion and enlisted as a pneudraulic systems specialist. I already had a AA degree and an airframe and powerplant license when I enlisted. Once I completed basic I was ranked as an airman first class E-3, so there is a small pay/rank increase....btw the USAF is generally the worst branch for advancing in rank. My ex-wife is a DVM, so she is quite intelligent in some areas that I lack and my son is probably top 1/2 percentile, but more importantly, a better student than I was.@@das6109

  • For anyone who’s wondering Tyler is very intelligent. The issue is he didn’t embellish his job. He’s in CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) It’s one of the most important roles in the military and takes a highly intelligent person to get into the job. It’s one of the most vital roles in national defence and terrorist attack response. Not to mention 94 on ASVAB is astonishingly impressive. Most get just enough to get a few jobs in the military his earned a level that allows him to go for most roles and responsibilities.

I do think 123 was the best in terms of knowing his own weaknesses and coping. It was pretty clear that the blonde girl was either going to rank very highly or very low and it was very difficult to guess which but I was sort of leaning toward high because she was humble. Really none of the first four in rank have anything to be upset about because they're all within the statistical variation of similarity if their IQ scores are important to them.

    @yougeo@yougeo Жыл бұрын
    • Being humble or not means nothing in terms of iq, it’s more connected to eq, like you know what to do to appear likeable. Tyler was not humble by any means, he put himself as #1 and he scored quite highly. I knew blonde would score high immediately after she said she’s a software developer. This type of logical thinking is built into this job. I thought girl with dyslexia will score last just because this disorder makes it harder to score high on any formal testing that requires reading carefully

But of course, maybe some people with higher IQ tend to choose specific degree and occupation, hence when you test their IQ in a population and then group them based on their occupation/degree, you'd *probably* get a result like "Average CEOs' IQ = 120, Researchers' average IQ = 130". Those are just random numbers I put there and pardon my English as it is not my primary language but I hope you'll get my point.

    • That's something most people won't ever understand, cause they think being intelligent have to do with grades, degrees, and things like that. I remember when I was in high school, I didn't study or do shit and basically got all B's and people used to think me as dumb and many other things because of the way I carried myself, and there was this girl which always got A's and everyone thought she was super intelligent, despite the fact she had to spent literally the whole day studying to get good grades. At the end, when we did the exams to enter Uni, I passed at the beginning of the last year, with grades to go to basically every University I wanted, with every course I wanted, and I went there before everybody else, shocking everyone. Meanwhile she tried to get into medical school for 2 years after graduating in high school, before giving up and going to a different course. An intelligent person doesn't have to study to be Intelligent. If you're intelligent and also study a lot, you will be the next Jeff Bezos (I'm waaay too lazy for that), but being intelligent means you don't actually need to study or try hard to succeed. It's kinda the difference between natural talent and practice. If a guy is very talented at playing guitar, but he doesn't study, he will still be a great guitarist, but not the best, and will most likely be surpassed by a guy that has 0 talent but tries hard every single day. But if the talented guy decides to start studying, he would leave everyone behind. And you have to be able to differentiate who is really intelligent from the ones that are just trying hard before making any judgment.
