"There's a difference between being poor and being broke " *Doesn't explain the difference*
I don't know which is which, but i guess he means one is a mental state and the other is a financial state
Poor= no money Broke = broken
poor is when you have little or very little money, broke is when you have none at all. but don't take my word for it lol i might be wrong
@@gummypusswatterson1322 makes sense. I know a couple of people who aren't poor but are broke. Have their own house, good food on the table, bills paid, work, internet, pets, but financially irresponsible.
These definitions are typical in investment books, I'll explain. Broke = out of money Poor is a state of mind + lack of money The saying goes that you can get broke multiple times, but you always know how to get out of there. Poor is when you accept that you will be broke forever and don't work on changing your situation. Making money is about productivity of your time, and turning your money into making more money. Meanwhile people that are Poor waste the little money they have in things that perish or depreciate.
I think being rich or having a lot of money just makes things easier. Instead of being happier it just makes your life easier, because of being able to afford what ever you want.
I think that one guy talking about paying for a surgery to save someone's life hit the nail on the head. Sure happiness comes from within but like it's hard to be happy if you don't have enough money to buy a safe stable secure situation where you're not worried about being able to afford food, shelter, transport, doctors, and medicine for yourself and anyone dependent on you for their livelihood as well.

The lack of money is probably like 80%-90% of everyone’s problems
Maybe some people, most of it is lack of deceant financial habits. And even then it’s not necessarily making their life unbearable just a bit more annoying. There are poor people obviously but no where near as much as people make it sound. Most of America dont live like broke collage kids 😂
@@jamescliff8038 well vast majority of the world lives under what would be considered the poverty line in US. These people can’t do much to change their financial status even if they have perfect habits. Even if you are in a first world country, if you grew up in a poor household your chances are decreased by ALOT.
@@5people829 It's decreased because the people inherit their family's financial problems. If i was rich and sad, I’d be a lot better off than broke and sad.
Are you sure about that? broke and sad you can more easily look up, while rich and sad you're more likely to feel hopeless because you already 'have it' but aren't happy.
@@GameDogLeader21 Nah being broke and sad you got nothing, at least you got money if you rich. That’s one less thing you gotta worry about.
@@theofficialwaffle1696 And if you push that thought process to the extreme, to where you have nothing to worry about and you're still sad? I guess what I'm saying is if you have worries at least you have the illusion that they are causing it, you have something to work at and try to fix/solve/improve.
@@GameDogLeader21 ... if your definition of happiness is in the “journey” like it is for some people. If you constantly don’t have enough money to buy food, go out, etc. money WILL make your life better. It’s easy to have the whole “True happiness doesn’t come from money” approach when you’ve never seriously had to wonder where your next meal will come from, unlike Felix’s experience, where he COULD’VE gone to his parents. Chances are you’ve never been homeless or food insecure before either. However, I digress, because happiness is ultimately a state of mind. Some things make literally everyone happy (sex, food, etc.) and others are split (pineapple pizza, Rick and Morty). It’s an opinionated topic for sure, but (and this is really controversial) for a majority of people money, even just a little money will make them happy, because it can buy things that make everyone universally happy. It’s laughable to think otherwise.
@@joshuadorsam4619 well its hard to be content without your necessities, but i see happiness as something different. Content is a big deal and can feel wonderful when you finally do get food or safety or w.e it is. But to me happiness is different, happiness is living life not just surviving it if that makes sense. And it can be more difficult but you can still live life even when surviving is difficult.

it's funny how "poor" has a different meaning for each person depending on their culture. I'm brazilian and poorness has a whole other meaning here. As a point where poor means barely having a place to call home.
I think that’s for everyone- these people are just super out of touch. They think of it as being pitiful, which poor is a financial state.
These people are probably from the West/East coast, or major cities. Where I'm from, Arkansas, there are places where there are shacks with dirt floors. You have to remember that a single state is the size of a country.
I thought the same thing. In my country it means you live in the streets, you rely on others to get something to eat. I've seen some people in the internet say they are broke, while they have a home, food, a family, the possibility to do things just for fun, but they say it because idk they can't buy a car or another house by themselves
Here in the Middle east, specifically Saudi Arabia, we don’t have many homeless people at all because the government helps them. “Poor” here is probably a person who rents a not so good apartment with lots of financial issues.
Yes, exactly. I live in Rio, and just having an apartment is a huge priviledge

Is it fun to be poor while it's happening? Hell no. But after making it out of that and looking back? It's an experience that is invaluable. I wouldn't undo the time in my life I was homeless for anything else, it made me who I am and brought me truth about what that experience is that you just cannot really get unless you were there. I don't think he is an asshole for wanting to experience something he hasn't, even with other people saying they hate it. I guess everyone has a right to feel like a victim if they want to, but I feel blessed for everything in my life, even abuse as crazy as that might sound. Money does solve your problems when your problems are caused by not having it.
Sometimes throwing money at your problems works. Sometimes you'll get charged with assault.
BIG BRAIN
money solves problems caused by being poor, like struggling to pay bills and not being financially stable but once you reach that level of income that you don't have to worry about it, money doesn't really matter anymore
Yea that's the case if you have a hobby that cost money but you're poor. When that hobby is your passion or something you love, that's where happiness starts fading. But it comes down to how gratefull you're I guess
Thisssss was the comment I was looking for thank you. Like sure money isn’t everything and there are things that matter more. But it’s a fucking necessity and when you don’t have it, surviving literally becomes a problem- THE problem- the one you have to pour most of your attention to bc you literally need it to survive. Timothy Sykes lmao you were a clown in the video but everyone makes mistakes as long as you learn from it you’re good also don’t forget to sub to pewds
Timothy Sykes now that you’ve taken the bait how can I get rich in 10 easy steps
Money does not buy happiness. It just makes the journey to happiness easier.
Poor since I was born in 88. Still living on ramen, disabled now since 2009. This will undoubtedly seem dumb, but sure, I wanted money, wanted to get by without my (now dead) grandparents help, but these days I'm kinda thankful I grew up like that, I appreciate EVERYTHING as a result.

What I learned: You don’t need to be smart to be rich.
Luis Guzman so true. So sad and so true
Then what quality should we have
@@ranjithdsouza8488 Be lucky.
Being smart actually is a disadvantage, because you have more knowlegde about dangers of the market etc that its keeping you back
😂 😂 😂
Money doesn’t solve all your problems but it sure solves a whole lot of them
"If you're happy then you don't need to be rich." -Pewds, love it 💕
These millionaires consider poor being sad, thats not poor.
Damn..I would stand at the strongly agree part of this comment
Hey, what you're doing is spitting on their imagine after looking through the yearbook. One picture for each year is... Very little to go on to make that alligation. You weren't in the class. And you certainly aren't the person looking back in the book and remembering that whole year. I could be wrong in saying all that, because I'm sure you didn't mean to generalize what you said so massively. All you did was connect two dots, and then erase them. So correct me if I'm wrong. I like feedback.
case it is sad lol. who tf wants to be poor
Literally
@Alexa Gelso but she was right. If Warren Buffet lost everything, would you call him poor? No. Because he has the financial intelligence and connections that would get him millions within weeks.
I'm blind. Timothy: Just open your eyes, it's not that hard.
But seriously, he's right about being able to make 1 or 2k pretty quickly. You've got to look where your spending and how to shrink that payment. One of the biggest changes I've made is my phone. I've got a $200 (my most expensive one in a while) phone and a phone plan thats like $15 a month. Most people pay like $40 and buy $1k iPhones every other year. In a year, you can save over $1.5k just by switching services or choosing a less expensive phone. 25*12 is $300
@@boggless2771 That's not necessarily making money though, that's just cutting off unnecessary payments and saving money from it. Getting a job and working shifts is a whole different story when it comes to making money, especially when you just have a minimum wage job and live off of weekly paychecks.
I think Timothy had a point though. She didn’t give a valid excuse besides being young and living with her mom. Becoming rich is NEVER easy, and you better expect to be busting your ass if you want to atleast increase your odds of success. Making a couple thousand dollars literally isn’t that hard lol. Just get a minimum wage job and save your money for months... or a year if needed.
@Generic Guy I wasn't arguing that hard work and applying your skills won't work. People who still have minimum wage jobs CAN still make a thousand dollars, but that has to build up over time because people still have to pay for things like taxes, food, rent, etc. Pewds summed it up perfectly towards the end because he pointed out that even if you have a job and apply your skills, there's always things like circumstances and timing that contribute to your success.
@@boggless2771 dont bother man , most people dont know what saving money is , you can save a thousand dolars a month in the right conditions working in a wharehouse , you just need to waste less money , (yes that includes paying rent , and food AND bills)
The guy who is not talking almost at all. I thought he won't do at all but he said two words. He was in another video in Middle ground and if I remember right there he wasn't very much liked by the audience. And now I feel like he saw all the comments after and decided this time he is not going to talk so he won't be hated as the last time. In moments I felt like he just want to go faster ad possible
I love how genuine this reaction is, from admitting that luck is a huge part in getting rich, and in knowing that it would not hurt him to pay more taxes but not wanting to. Maybe the solution could be when rich people that pay taxes start to call out the fuckers that avoid it, making them the black sheep of the millionaires club.
"Should millionaires pay more taxes?" Pewdiepie: *sweating profusely* "Why is it so dark here?"
I don't think they should they earned their money and other people could have done it too
Megz Plays you are naive.
@@undercoverangel6667 I agree I am I get scammed a lot but my dad is Rich and has to pay more in taxes and I think it is unfair also you are saying Republican's are naive so you must just be democratic

"I started with a few thousand dollars" Me who gets excited over getting a $20 dollar bill
Bro im a college student and i get hype whenever i get 3 dollars
LOL my top student began with $1,500 and he's closing in on $11 million now, I started with $12k, and I'm at $5 million...it doesn't matter what you begin with, it's all about what you can achieve with what you've got and talent/knowledge matters infinitely more than starting amount
When someone invited me to eat with them to talk and have fun, they were actually saving me from dying
Timothy Sykes that’s still a ton of money for most people, the average American has no savings they live paycheck to paycheck. You just got really lucky man, I hope you pay it forward
Jason The Demigod honestly tho. Like. 50$ is mind blowing 😂
This is basically ’Who has had the worst life’ competition
Eblis Dolphin that is because people often shame someone who had more opportunities than them, so richer people feel like they need to prove that their life wasn’t easy either

good points, I was actually most happy when my family was struggling but yet I still believe that money will solve my problems.
