  • I really enjoy these book reviews. It might sounds contradictory, but having someone like Felix explaining the books with simplicity and his own opinions instead of someone who studied literature or history or whatever makes it so much better to me. It feels like it's a discussion with a friend more than a class with a teacher. I really like that

I plan to get all the books you've reviewed so far when I get more money and more time to read but I love it so much. I just want to thank you for helping me get into reading again and being a great influence to me and anyone else who realised the joy of reading through your channel. You truly are a blessing and I hope you continue to do this series and I know it's cheesy but it's changed my life.

His best quality is his personality, people will watch him do anything because he's so likable and funny, he doesn't need to review memes all day he just starts to look like he's dying inside :'D Marzia makesnloads of different kinds of videos he should join her more. Or like compete for a while or something. Pew News and Cooking with Pewdiepie are great fun though.

  • I love how Felix just does what he likes on KZhead. He's already explained the importance of this and why he does this in previous videos (forced happiness), but I'd just really like to underline it. Even if you find his book reviews boring, you can perhaps comfort yourself in the fact that since he's not afraid to show us this side of him, then perhaps he also has a certain amount of passion behind the comedy he does (meme review etc.). Realness breeds realness, and realness breeds a sincere form of likability, the reason I've stayed subscribed to him. Let's be Honest

  • Honestly Pewds is just the king of explaining his opinion and pondering interesting thoughts without losing the audience. I love how he always assumes you have no knowledge of the book and so gives a background because now when I read these books I can appreciate them more. It’s like he conveys his whole reading process for each book rather than just summarising what he thought at the end. Normally I only make sarcastic, joking comments on his videos but I genuinely love these videos so much and hope others appreciate it too. ❤️

  • Holy shit, bro. I found this video by chance and my mind is totally blown by the fact that you love Yukio Mishima's writing. It's so rare to find other fans, it's just weird and delightful that you are one as well. This made my day! n_n I enjoyed the tetralogy as a whole, but the The Temple of Dawn is my absolute favorite of the series and definitely in my top five of all books I've ever read. I'm a woman from Latin America and I first read The Temple of Dawn as a teenager. Still, somehow I could relate to Honda in that book a lot more than I could relate to a lot of the people around me at the time, lol. I like how flawed and how interesting the characters are, and how humane. You articulated it very well; there is something about Mishima's writing that is so very enjoyable. Some passages are just so amazing that you almost feel sad turning the page. The descriptions are mind-blowing and really stick with you for how vivid they are; like at one point Honda describes an old woman he encounters like coming upon a perfectly functioning pocket-watch ticking away in a dead man's pocket--cause she's so frail and old but mentally sharp AF. I mean, damn. Also the topics of reincarnation, mortality and morality and the way Mishima explores these is incredibly fascinating to me. It's like nutrition for the mind and spirit. Another Japanese writer who is also insanely talented (although very different stylistically) is of course Murakami, whom you've probably heard of or read - (I'd recommend "Tokyo Blues (Norwegian Wood)" or "1Q84" as a starting point for anyone interested). A lesser known writer who is also amazing is Banana Yoshimoto, btw. And on the off chance that you ever see this comment, Felix: thank you so much for the content you make. I've been following you on and off for a few years but I didn't subscribe until recently (better late than never, right??). I love to laugh and I really enjoy your sense of humor; not just for the silliness (which I love) but also because of the sharp insight and sincerity underlying your commentary. Mostly I like that hearing you talking about stuff, jokingly or seriously, makes people feel less alone. It's true for me and I know it's true for a lot of your viewers. Also thank you for your review of The Last Jedi. Random, I know, but that was the thing that finally got me to subscribe. XD

    @sarahscribbles2160@sarahscribbles21605 жыл бұрын
    • By practicing it and exposing yourself to the language. It's a process and doesn't happen over night. The same thing goes for Marzia, who had an Italian accent. Btw, he has been to America. He even vlogged it.

    • Hullgatt oh ok. Thanks. I just expected him to have a british accent after living there for so long

      @sarahscribbles2160@sarahscribbles21605 жыл бұрын
    • I'm pretty confident in saying that he's able to use a brittish accent. However, american accent would propably feel more comfortable for him as it's very common in Sweden even though schools wants us to speak brittish. Besides it being more common in general and feeling more natural for Swedes, wouldn't you agree that it'd be weird for him to start speaking brittish all of a sudden? But even so, to grow an accent, you need to actively practice it. It might be that he and Marzia use american pronounciation as that's how they are used to each other speaking, so it might even feel weird for them too. Atleast, that's how I would feel if I were him.

  • Your story about your granddad remind me very much of my grandmother. She recommended LOTR to me many times, telling me how much she liked the story. I didn't know what it was about at the time, and it seemed very dry and boring to my 10-ish year old self. Reading the books has a very special meaning to me now, and I wish I could talk to her about them (and other books).

  • I love this format! Motivating people - especially 9 year olds - to read books is such a great thing to do! I would like to recommend two books to you: 1. *Dark Matter* by _Blake Crouch_ : It's a very interesting an thrilling story and it's so much fun to read! Two out of many themes in this book are "Are you happy with your life?" and infinity. I don't know if that's a real term but it's often declared as quantum fiction. Definitely one of my favourites. 2. *The Power of Now* by _Eckhart Tolle_ : Especially after you read that book about Buddhism in which an important theme is enlightenment I can't recommend it enough. It's not a story, it's more of a philosophical book and really can change the way you look at life.

I trust that your army of nine year olds will follow your recommendations. Speaking of the mythical army, you may or may not want to read this but I've been watching your videos for at least the last year and I'm in my mid 70s (really). Maybe my age will skew the stat from nine to 9.15 - LOL !

Also, it's nice that Felix is using his channel to spread the idea of reading and how much wonders it can do. I myself am a gamer and computer nerd at heart, but I absolutely love to read as well. Although, I feel like calling him the "Oprah of KZhead" would be an insult because Felix isn't nearly as manipulative or politically biased as she is.

  • You're an inspiration to me as well, Felix. When I was a kid I absolutely loved reading, I wouldn't hear or notice anything and anyone outside of the book I had in my hands. Later, I've become addicted to the computer and then the internet, always in games, always in entertainment, to this day. Recently I've started to re-discover my love for reading, just like you did, I even got a job in a small library. I'm not able to pointlessly play so much, but I can read as much as I want at work, we got ~45k books and the internet has infinity more. I would be really happy if you checked out some more Russian classics, since that's where I'm from. A lot of Russian classical literature is based on suffering, so if that's your thing - then definitely keep going at it.

    • I speak Russian as well! Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky is one of my favorite books of all time. It so eloquently describes the descent into madness catalyzed by guilt. I recommend it to everyone.

    • Hey man well said. I see you also like pogo a friend of mine kinda knows him Hey man could you have a look at my friend's music channel he works super hard making a new type of genre. It would mean a lot :D but it's up to you. Just hate seeing him get down due to a lack of audience.. and his stuff is really good. It's SAVIOUR3.0 thank you

    • FishObreedy Hmm as much as I don’t see a necessary reason to why promote for getting attention or something. I’ll look it up since I can see u support your friend (and ur the one promoting your friend... Not that I’m trying to hate or something)
